Family Medicine, Travel Medicine, Occupational Medicine Traveling to foreign countries (especially less developed countries in Africa, South Asia, or South America) may expose patients to pathogens not commonly found in the United States. Quality Health provides a wide variety of travel medicine services that aim to keep you from getting sick while traveling abroad. We will advise you regarding the prevention of travel-associated conditions (such as deep vein thrombosis, insomnia, jet lag and motion sickness) and administer immunizations for Typhoid, Hepatitis A and Yellow Fever, as required. Because some vaccinations require a series of immunizations or cannot be combined, we recommend that you schedule a visit with us at least 2 months prior to your departure. You should not schedule an appointment less than two weeks before your trip because it takes a couple of weeks for some vaccines to become effective.

IV Vitamin therapy

IV Vitamin therapy involves the administration of high concentrations of essential vitamins and minerals directly into the vein. The advantage of IV vitamin therapy over daily multivitamins is that IV vitamin therapy bypasses the digestive tract and delivers a higher dose of vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream, so they can be more easily absorbed by cells. In addition to delivering key nutrients, IV vitamin therapy can be used to restore lost fluids and electrolytes in order to optimize vital hydration balance and reduce recovery time after illness or exertion (or even to relieve a bad hangover).
